UP girl dies after being swept away in Sohra waterfall
Shillong: A 15-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh lost her life after being swept away by strong currents near Weisawdong Falls in Sohra (Cherrapunjee) after she reportedly slipped while taking a photograph, standing precariously on the waterfall edge.Her body was recovered by police on Thursday, a day after she went missing. She was on a holiday with her family members.A resident of Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh, the body of the missing girl, stuck between rocks, was located by locals, who then informed police.The body has been taken to Sohra Community Health Centre for postmortem.
